Daniel “Danny” W. Cowart, Jr., 60, of Guyton, Georgia, died Tuesday morning, July 20, 2021, at Memorial University Medical Center.
Born in Savannah, Georgia, he was a son of Dorothy Woods Cowart and the late Daniel Waymon Cowart, Sr. Danny was of the Christian faith. He was a welder with the Local 26 International Brotherhood of Boilermakers. Danny loved his family and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are his daughter, Yolanda Watson of Buford, Georgia; his mother, Dorothy Woods Cowart of Guyton; three sisters, Deborah “Debbie” Edwards and her husband, Lynwood, Rose Marie Conner and her husband, John, and Beth Helmey and her husband, Brian, all of Guyton; one brother, Bengie Cowart and his wife, Toni, of Guyton; two grandchildren, Patrick and Arabella, and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at 11 o’clock Thursday morning, July 22, 2021, at Highway 30 Church of Christ – 1952 Noel C. Conaway Road, Guyton. Interment will be in the Woods Family Cemetery.
